Purpose
CapsuleJobs packages workload instructions, metadata, requirements and validation information into a single portable, inspectable artefact.
Why
High-performance computing workloads typically consist of multiple files, including job scripts, configuration, source code and supporting resources. CapsuleJobs explores a simpler approach by bringing these separate components together as a single deployable artefact, making workloads easier to package, move, validate and reproduce.
Direction
The work remains an architectural proposal and will mature through implementation, institutional testing and the publication of its underlying specification.
