Roman Clock
Help and user guide for the Roman Clock and Calendar app.
Getting started
Roman Clock begins displaying the current date and time when the app opens. To customise the display, tap the menu button at the bottom of the screen on your phone or tablet.
Understanding the display
The main display shows the date, followed by the day of the week, with the time in the middle of the screen.
shown in 12-hour mode only
The day, month, year, hours and minutes are shown using Roman numerals. In 12-hour mode, ANTE MERIDIEM appears before noon and POST MERIDIEM appears after noon.
Settings
The settings menu controls the app's appearance, date order and time format.

- Follow the device's current light or dark appearance automatically.

- Always use dark mode.
CALENDARIVM Date format
- DIES – MENSES – ANNOS

- 12-hour clock.

- 24-hour clock.
Roman numerals
Roman numerals are built from seven basic symbols.

How to read them
Read Roman numerals from left to right. When a lower-value symbol comes before a higher-value symbol, subtract it. When it comes after, add it.
